Our PhilosophySpruce Creek Drama is an educational theatre. It is our belief that the best way to learn about the theatre
is to be an active participant in its production. Therefore, at Creek, virtually everything you see and experience
during our plays is due to the work of students: acting, costume and set construction, lighting, sound, ticket
sales, stage management-- if a student can do the job, a student does do the job.
We also believe that to truly be creative artists we must do more than simply copy a previous production's sets
or costumes; in fact, we approach each show as though we are the first theatre to put it into production. Thus,
each show is unique in its own way and has never really been seen before.
We do not pretend to be a professional theatre, but we do our best to operate as much like one as we can on
our limited budgets.
